Studio Assistant (full time) - Music Studio Assistant (Norwich) - Full time Job Description The post is offered as an initial trial period of six weeks. Upon completion of the trial period, there will be a performance review, and if satisfactory, the position will be confirmed. General preparation of the building for clients use, to include general cleaning, restocking of bathroom requisites, restocking vending machines. Setting up rehearsal studios prior to clients use. Ensuring clients vacate the studios in a timely manner at the end of their session, liaising with other staff members to ensure the studios are turned around in time for the next clients use. Reception work, to include taking bookings, dealing with clients payments and general telephone duties. Basic computer/web duties to include the updating of websites. Assisting with promotional events held at the studios, on an as and when required basis. Miscellaneou s routine tasks associated with the upkeep of the studios. The ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and professional manner, and to work with other staff as part of a team. Working quickly under pressure, particularly during band changeover times is essential. The successful applicant must be prepared to deal with clients in a manner which will ensure they vacate their studios on time, so a degree of firmness, whilst maintaining a professional approach is required. It would be an advantage, although not essential, if the applicant had some prior knowledge of equipment used in rehearsal studios, as clients will often ask advice with regard to the setting up of the equipment supplied in the studios for their use. Some heavy lifting of musical equipment may be involved. Late evenings, weekend and some Bank Holiday shifts are a requirement of this post, so the successful applicant will be flexible with regard to shift patterns. A degree of unsupervised work will be required.
